Chat Room Rules Each community must have rules in order for things to run smoothly. This one is no exception. I'll keep it simple. * There are four moderators of the chatroom: angelsdee, Heimedall, montecarlogurl87 and aimsame. * Keep it civil. Any issues should be dealt with in a private room one-on-one. If it spills into the main room it may result in a warning or being kicked from the room at the moderators discretion. Continued disruptions may cause a ban to be imposed on you. If you would like help then contact one of us to mediate. * We are considering this an adult room. That means there is no ban on foul language and sex talk. * Please report all issues or concerns to a moderator. * Have fun and make new friends. CONECTING TO THE CHAT ROOM Using mIRC You can download the software for free at http://www.mirc.com/. Once you have the program installed add the channel to your favorites by clicking on the yellow file folder on the icon bar. The network should be AfterNet. If you would like to automatically join when logging on stay on favorites and highlight the channel name. Click Edit. Choose 'Join on connect' . NOTE: After a certain amount of days mIRC requests that you register. I have had it for more than a year and have yet to register. It takes a moment longer to load but you can continue to use it for free by clicking continue. Using Trillian If you are using of Trillian or Trillian Pro you have to make sure the plugin for IRC has been switched on, you can find this in your preferences under Plugins. Once you have that switched on, add a new account to IRC with the following settings: Server Alias: afternet.org irc.trillian.net::6667: irc.afternet.org::6667 Nickname: [Your Username] Username: [Your Username] User Info: [Whatever you want to write] Using the Java Applet If you don't have or don't want either of the above applications you can just long in with the java applet (requires java install) and join the coversation. Just change "Your Username" and click the "Continue" button to join in.
